Naturetrek Writing Competition 2015!
The way to win!
Our judges are looking for a short piece of travel writing (500-800 words) that may include one or all of the following ingredients: it might elicit the essence of a particular Naturetrek tour or region, present a flavour (amusing or otherwise) of travelling as part of a wildlife tour group, and/or incorporate your tour’s wildlife highlight(s) — the goal of most of our clients. It must be written in clear, concise prose and convey a vivid sense of place, as well as the excitement and joy of experiencing the natural world.
The winner will receive one place on a European Naturetrek holiday up to the value of £1,500 OR a £1,000 voucher towards any Naturetrek holiday of her/his choice. There will be a second prize of a £500 Naturetrek Voucher, and a third prize of a £250 Naturetrek Voucher. To whet your appetite, please do browse our European holidays in our 2016 brochure, or on our website.
How to enter:
Entries should ideally be sent by email (to firstname.lastname@example.org) though handwritten entries submitted by post will also be considered. Please include your name, plus the title and date of the Naturetrek holiday your article refers to. Please send your entries at any stage over the course of the year. And please note, there is no limit to the number of entries that you may submit, and your entry can be about a Naturetrek holiday taken in any year!
Publication of the winning & other entries:
Although this competition will be open throughout 2015, and the winner decided on 31st December 2015, all suitable entries will be posted on the Naturetrek Blog for the enjoyment of others as soon as they are submitted to us. The winning story will ultimately be published in our March 2016 e-newsletter, and possibly also in our Spring 2016 Newsletter. (We reserve the right to edit articles as we see fit.)
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING SOME TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH OUR BLOG. At present, you may not be able to load the blog, or view any writing competition entries. This will not affect the competition results, which will be announced in our Spring 2016 newsletter and e-newsletters. We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience!
