Emilie Mitchell

Emilie was born in the Loire Valley but spent over 11 years in Devon and Kent where she worked for various conservation organisations, including RSPB and Kent Wildlife Trust. In 2013, she returned to live in central France with her family and currently works as a freelance nature guide and ecologist.

Emilie has two main passions: natural history and her pets. She studied Forestry Management in her teens and more recently completed a Master’s Degree in Biological Recording. She loves all wildlife but has a special interest in plants, mammals and herptiles but also spends a lot of her spare time learning about equine ethology. She enjoys riding her horses in the French countryside, accompanied by her Australian Shepherd Dog and is particularly focused on developing her horsemanship skills.
