Tour Leader: David Morris
David was born and raised in Yorkshire. A Zoologist by training, he has worked on a variety of conservation projects including research into the decline of woodland birds, Hen Harrier recovery programmes, and the management of species such as Corn Bunting, Black Grouse and breeding waders. He now lives on the edge of the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire and works as Senior Reserves Ecologist for the RSPB, responsible for the charity’s diverse range of reserves across northern England. Mountains and upland areas are his passion, both at work and in his own time. David has a strong interest in alpine flora – their cultivation, conservation and exploration – and maintains an active role in the Alpine Garden Society. An all-round naturalist, David has led tours for Naturetrek for nearly a decade, from the Pyrenees to the majestic peaks of the Kazakh Tien Shan Mountains.
