India’s Tiger population increases by 30%!
Bengal Tiger (Dani Free)
Naturetrek welcomes some fantastic news from India — the country’s environment minister, Prakash Javadekar, has recently announced an increase of India’s Tiger population by almost a third in the last four years. Javadekar described the news as a ‘huge success story’. With Tiger populations falling in other areas of the world, it is wonderful to learn that numbers in India are on the rise – particularly as India is estimated to be home to around 70% of the world's Tigers.
The Tiger is a symbol of natural perfection and at the top of many people’s wildlife wish-list. Naturetrek is a Tiger travel expert, with nearly 30 years’ experience leading Tiger safaris in the subcontinent and we are proud to offer the widest range of tours available.
