Alexander Alvarado

Alexander grew up in Copan Ruinas on the western part of Honduras and became interested in birds many years ago when he was working for a Hotel. Years later he came to work for a Bird Park and Nature Reserve located outside of Copan, which truly kicked off his passion for wildlife!

In 2006 he started observing Honduran birds in a variety of habitats, travelling all over the country, before commencing running local birding tours in Copan Ruinas.

Since, he has been involved in running various training courses on Honduran birds, is member of the Honduran Ornithological Society and a well-respected guide with a good experience in leading birding groups across Guatemala, Belize, Colombia and Honduras.
