Lucy Cameron – Operations Consultant
Lucy joined the Naturetrek team in January 2022 as temporary staff member, but loved her role so much that she became a permanent member of the team! In her busy role, Lucy supports Operations Manager, Barney Jones, as well as managing a small selection of British breaks from Cornwall to Northumberland. Lucy is responsible for a whole host of tasks to ensure the team's tours run smoothly, from replying to client enquiries or liaising with Tour Leaders, to sending out the all-important Final Joining Instructions to clients about to depart on their holiday! The team covers many tours, from Africa, America, and many parts of Europe – and one of Lucy’s favourite parts of the job is viewing the stunning photographs from each tour.
Life Before Naturetrek
Not long before joining Naturetrek, Lucy graduated from the University of Winchester with a degree in Creative Writing. Wildlife and the perils of the Climate Crisis have always been a running theme in her fictional writing and are subjects of great importance to her. At the top of her wildlife 'Bucket List' is witnessing an elephant migration in Sri Lanka. So far, her wildlife highlights have been watching dolphins breaching on a trip to Weymouth, seeing Brown Bears in Romania and watching a colony of White-throated Bee-eaters pool diving in The Gambia!
