Eleanor Burford – Operations Assistant

Eleanor joined Naturetrek in September 2024 and provides support for the busy operation of a portfolio of tours. She assists in the daily administration of departures across Europe, Asia and South America, collaborating with ground agents and suppliers. Being fluent in French, she particularly enjoys liaising with our suppliers in France! She has travelled to 35 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and Australasia and applies her wide experience of overseas travel into her role as Operations Assistant.

Growing up, Eleanor enjoyed numerous camping holidays to France, where her love of the French language, and country, started. She went on to study French and History at Lancaster University, including spending a year teaching English in north-eastern France. After graduating in 2020, she continued her adventures in France, working a ski season in the French Alps and a summer in St Tropez. Following that she went further afield, working as a tour guide in Finnish Lapland and a subsequent year working (and travelling) in Australia. Between these jobs she travelled to new countries, including Vietnam, Norway and Cambodia. She returned to the UK in September 2024 and settled straight into life here at Naturetrek. She is passionate about the environment and is always looking for ways to make her lifestyle more sustainable, and so Naturetrek’s sustainability policy and carbon offsetting scheme was a big draw to the company!
