Lorna Fidler – Reservations & Customer Support
Lorna joined our Reservations and Customer Support team in November 2022. Her role involves talking to clients over the phone, answering queries and processing bookings. She particularly enjoys talking to clients about the huge range of tours that we offer; her brain travels from Borneo to Zambia to the Galápagos Islands in the space of 10 minutes!
Life Before Naturetrek
Lorna graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in French in July 2022. She loved studying the language whilst also learning about France’s culture and history (she also studied a little Spanish along the way too). In her spare time she was an active member of the university’s Ultimate Frisbee Society – a fast-paced game, requiring boundless energy, which was right up her street!
Having enjoyed many family holidays to Cornwall whilst growing up, she has always loved coastal walks and hearing the roar of the sea, plus visiting the Orkney Islands was a welcome opportunity to learn about our neolithic history and fuelled her enthusiasm for wildlife (having had several encounters with seals!).
Her best travel memory is seeing the natural landscapes of Iceland, including waterfalls, lagoons and geysers; Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon (home to enormous blocks of ice breaking off a glacier and floating out to sea) and walking behind the huge cascading Seljalandsfoss waterfall were particular highlights!
