Alfonso Palazuelos Cobo

Alfonso was born in Cantabria and currently lives in the Palentina Mountains. Since childhood, his passion for nature has taken him all over the mountains of the north of the peninsula in search of the region's diverse wildlife. This passion also led him to study Environmental Sciences at university, followed by a postgraduate degree focusing on the Quaternary Period. He is currently involved in multiple research projects relating to the extinct fauna of the Quaternary Period in Europe. After meeting Naturetrek leader and host, Tino Garcia, several years ago, Alfonso now joins him to guide several tours throughout the Palentina Mountains, bringing with him his extensive knowledge of the local birds, plants and mammals.
