Allison Singleton

Alli was born and educated in Jersey and has had a passion for all aspects of wildlife from an early age. 

She is a keen botanist and birder contributing regularly to both the Société Jersiaise Botany and Ornithology groups. During the Summer months Alli surveys for the Jersey Butterfly Monitoring Scheme and Jersey Amphibian and Reptile Group.

Alli spent a couple of years volunteering on a conservation project for the Blue Iguana (Cyclura lewisi) on Grand Cayman, a highly successful project which has brought the species back from the brink of extinction. More recently Alli spent some time working on a project for Jersey Trees for Life monitoring the state of Jersey’s woodlands.

Alli and her husband Neil greatly enjoy taking visitors to Jersey on birdwatching tours, general wildlife walks, puffin watches and island-wide dawn chorus events.
