Ian Andrews
Ian has been an active birdwatcher since 1968 and, following his first visit to the Middle East in 1982, has developed a broad interest in the region. This culminated in 1989-92 when he made use of a work posting to Jordan to carry out the first bird survey of the country. He is the author of the recently published 'Birds of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan', and, back in Scotland, he is the Local Recorder for Lothian Region. He is a Geology graduate from Hull University and now works for the British Geological Survey in Edinburgh.
