Nuno Barros
A birdwatcher from a very young age, Nuno is a marine biologist and a specialist in seabird conservation. He has worked as an on-board marine observer in the North Atlantic, as a bird specialist in environmental impact assessment studies, and has been part of bird and marine monitoring and awareness programmes for several years, both in Portugal and West Africa. In his conservation career, he has specialised in the impacts of human activities in the marine environment, seabird monitoring and conservation, the management of marine protected areas, and ocean policy recommendations. Nuno regularly leads Naturetrek groups in his beloved Algarve, where there is nobody better qualified to show off the region's wildlife and off-the-beaten-track delights.
