René Matthys

René Matthys is a Belgian naturalist with a passion for birds, mammals and moths. He started birding at a young age and worked in environmental education and nature conservation projects in Flanders, Portugal and Italy. He has been leading tours in the Western Palearctic and travelled all over the planet in search of birds and mammals. He has a great interest in ecology and is involved in local conservation projects.
