Taea completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Plymouth, and her MSc in Conservation Biology at the University of Kent. She has undertaken internships on projects in the UK, Italy, India, South Africa, and Mauritius in such fields as wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, marine and coral reef restoration, terrestrial species conservation and human-leopard relationships. She has also volunteered in Colombia and Malta on nature reserves and permaculture farms. Her interests are human-wildlife coexistence, environmental justice, sustainable living, and the well-being benefits of nature. She enjoys hiking, wild swimming, travelling, and sharing her passion for the environment with those around her.
