For years, Naturetrek groups to Nepal have been reliant on ‘The Birds of Nepal’ (Bloomsbury) by Grimmett, Inskipp & Inskipp. Written in English though, it has not been of such value to all of the country’s Nepali speakers. Now, Naturetrek friend and partner Dr Hem Sagar Baral has diligently translated the book into Nepali, and Naturetrek funding will assist publication this year. Most of these books will be distributed to libraries and similar community institutions free of cost all over Nepal!
