With swathes of untouched rainforest, endless savannah and mangrove coasts, as well as the largest and most splendid coral reef in the western hemisphere, Belize is the perfect choice for the intrepid naturalist. Nestled amidst 30,000 acres of pristine wilderness, Chan Chich Lodge offers the perfect base for a single-centre holiday to this wonderful Central American country. Over 350 birds have been recorded in the lodge grounds, including Great Tinamou, Crested Guan, Great Curassow, Tody Motmot, Rufous-tailed Jacamar, White-whiskered Puffbird, Keel-billed Toucan, Montezuma Oropendola, King Vulture, Mealy Parrot, Collared Aracari, Pale-billed Woodpecker, Bright-rumped Attila, Royal Flycatcher, Masked Tityra, Yellow-winged Tanager, and both Yellow-throated and Olive-backed Euphonia. It is also widely regarded as the best place in the country to see Jaguar!
