Summary
An opportunity to hone your photographic skills on a tour of Norfolk with acclaimed local wildlife photographer Kevin Elsby. Visiting the county’s premier nature reserves we will seek out birds, insects, plants and mammals to photograph, with Kevin on hand to demonstrate the best techniques using a variety of lenses. In early June many species of dragonfly such as the localised Norfolk Hawker will be on the wing and breeding birds will be at their most active. Butterflies such as the spectacular Swallowtail, restricted to East Anglia, is commonly seen in the Broads. As well as offering help in the field, in the evenings Kevin will review the images you capture and offer suggestions and feedback, as well as give presentations on wildlife photography.
By the July tour the season will have moved on and most bird species will have chicks, plant species such as the Marsh Helleborine will be in flower and perhaps the greatest range of butterfly and dragonfly species will be on the wing.
This tour will be led by Kevin Elsby, an experienced and award-winning wildlife photographer. He is on the Nature Group committee of the prestigious Royal Photographic Society (RPS), and has a Fellowship from the RPS in Nature photography. He sits on the Nature Panel of the RPS and judges wildlife images from applicants around the world who apply for a distinction in wildlife photography with the RPS.
