A day trip bird watching at RSPB reserve. Saw everything expected (and more - local white tailed eagle gave us an unexpected display). Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Great tours. Well organised and customer focused. Excellent locations.

Summary
Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve in West Sussex is an excellent place to attract many migrants which will be heading south for the winter. The brooks can hold an impressive number of wading birds, especially sandpipers, and September could produce Green Sandpipers and Wood Sandpipers, amongst the commoner species. The circular trail, totalling no more than two miles, provides a fine opportunity to enjoy many of our summer migrants: both flycatchers and warblers can be present in the late autumn period and are regularly seen in the trees and bushes. In the afternoon, we will explore Wiggonholt Common; this recently-created heathland habitat may provide sightings of Woodlarks.
We will start the day at 8.30am. The various trails are well maintained and there are plenty of areas to rest and enjoy the wildlife, which should make for a relaxing day out in the Sussex countryside.
- Enjoy the sight of the autumn wader migration
- A number of passerines
- Chance of Little Ringed Plovers on the brooks
- Fallow Deer are abundant out on the brooks
- Heathland birding in the afternoon
- Led by an expert naturalist
