Summary
This exciting tour will take you from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town along South Africa’s iconic Garden Route. We begin our adventure with two days exploring Addo Elephant Park, home to Elephants, Black Rhino and a wonderful range of other mammals and birds. Next, we explore the rugged coastlines and lush forests of Tsitsikamma National Park, keeping an eye out for the vibrant Knysna Turaco as we go, and experiencing the thrill of crossing the park’s famous suspension bridge. We next pass through Sedgefield, known for its golden beaches and seabirds, before continuing our journey through Wilderness National Park, renowned for its forests, rivers, waterfalls and abundant birdlife. After two nights in De Hoop Nature Reserve – a biodiversity hotspot with stunning coastal views – we conclude our holiday in the charming town of Hermanus. Here, we will enjoy a boat trip for up-close encounters with Walker Bay’s majestic Southern Right Whales, before ending the tour in Cape Town where we catch our flight home.

Accommodation will be in a mix of national park chalets, cottages, guesthouses and hotels. All rooms have en-suite facilities.
- Food:
All breakfasts and evening meals are included in the tour cost, but lunches are at your own expense (allow around £100 in total per person). The standard of food in South Africa is excellent and extremely good value for money.
