Javier Arias

Javier was born in Mindo, Ecuador. As a boy, he was lucky to have the opportunity to meet some great birders who inspired him, and so he became interested in birds and birding at a very young age. Javier has participated in the Christmas bird count every year since 2000 in Mindo and many other areas in Ecuador, and from the 2015 to 2017 he was the representative of Mindo Bird Guide Association. Javier has now been working as a bird guide for over twenty-two years in Ecuador, leading birding and photography tours all over the country.
