George Vincent

Tour Leader

Born in Southampton, Hampshire, George spent much of his childhood travelling the world in search of wildlife with his parents. Having visited six continents by the age of seven, he developed practical field skills from an early age, with the ability to observe and interpret wildlife becoming second nature and a lasting enthusiasm for nature and travel firmly established.

George previously worked in the Naturetrek office within the Tailormade department, where he helped design bespoke itineraries to destinations across the globe and introduced Suriname to the Naturetrek portfolio. Alongside this, he led tours to West Africa, South America, Europe and South-East Asia, gaining broad experience across a wide range of habitats and species assemblages.

At the end of 2024 he relocated to Sydney, Australia, where he now runs a specialist nature tour company and supports Naturetrek’s Australian programme, overseeing tour development and logistics while also guiding several departures himself. He has a particular passion for mammals, with an extensive personal that includes an impressive 126 primate species observed in the wild. He is equally known for his sharp eyes and ears, often picking up cryptic birds and other wildlife that others miss.

George enjoys sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with others and takes great pleasure in introducing visitors and locals alike to Australia’s remarkable native fauna. When not in the field or behind the scenes planning tours, he makes the most of Australia’s sunshine and beaches, plays sport, and keeps up with the football.
