Tony Arce

Tony Arce is a Costa Rican naturalist and birding guide with nearly 20 years of experience in ecotourism. A graduate in Ecotourism from the University of Costa Rica, he has specialised in birdwatching and rainforest ecology, leading tours throughout the country’s most important birding destinations, including Arenal, Tortuguero, Sarapiquí, Carara, Rancho Naturalista and San Gerardo de Dota. Tony is actively involved in Costa Rica’s birding community, serving as an eBird regional reviewer and participating in national bird counts and conservation initiatives. While birds are his main focus, he is also passionate about mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and tropical plants, offering guests a well-rounded natural history experience.
