Our inaugural 'The Forest of Dean – Mammal Special’ tour in October was a great success (writes Operations Manager Tom Mabbett).
We were delighted to find five Dormice on our survey, and being able to see this delightful – but, sadly, declining – species in such close proximity was the undoubted highlight of the weekend. We were also treated to very close views of Badgers as well as Wild Boar, Fallow Deer and Wood Mice amongst other mammals. Lovely autumn walks and some special birds added to the success of the weekend.
With our October 2018 departure already full, we will be running an additional departure of this popular tour in June (Friday 15th – Sunday 17th).
