Summer holidays – 2 weeks in Brazil
Brazil’s Pantanal is now firmly established as the very best place in the world to see Jaguars. These majestic creatures are now almost guaranteed on twice-daily boat excursions from the fabulous ‘Jaguar Flotel’. However, Jaguars are not the only exciting large mammals to be found in the Pantanal, and other lodges along the Transpantaneira offer fantastic opportunities for Giant Anteater, Brazilian Tapir, Ocelot and Giant River Otter. A holiday to the Pantanal can also easily be combined with a visit to Rio de Janeiro or one of Brazil’s many family-friendly beach resorts.

October Half-Term – 9 days in Madagascar
Madagascar is a fantastic country which has the potential to inspire the imagination of intrepid young travellers with its beautiful scenery and wonderfully unique wildlife. October is one of the very best times of year to visit as the rains have passed and both the lemurs and birds are at their most active and visible. Although Madagascar is a huge country with plenty to explore, a visit of 9 days through the half-term holidays should be just enough to really whet the appetite. The fabulous Andasibe-Mantadia, is one of Madagascar’s premier national parks boasting eerie Indris, ‘dancing’ sifakas, and beautiful chameleons. Combine this with a visit to Anjajavy, a stunning luxury beach resort with two-storey seafront chalets and a great pool for children, to make a fantastic family wildlife holiday!

Christmas holidays – 11 days in Costa Rica
Costa Rica seemingly has it all: beautiful beaches, superlative wildlife and fantastic family-friendly eco-lodges. Although Costa Rica is certainly a year-round destination, the period from December to April is generally the most popular as it offers drier weather on the Pacific coast and some of the best birding. The canals of Tortuguero which can only be explored by boat, offer an intriguing assortment of wildlife from Three-toed Sloth and Spider Monkeys to wonderful reptiles including Spectacled Caiman. The Corcovado National Park and resorts along the Osa Peninsula are also certainly worth a visit. Walk the forest trails in search of the elusive Baird’s Tapir, screaming Howler Monkeys and delightful Keel-billed Toucans, snorkel alongside Olive Ridley and Green Turtles and watch Humpback Whales breaching from your boat. Costa Rica offers plenty to keep all the family entertained!
