Our photography leader made it very clear from the outset that he was there for us and to help us all get good sightings and good photographs. He was so very generous with his time, knowledge and expertise and this was clearly the best trip I have ever had with a professional photographer. As a group we all got along very well and had some laughs along the way. The guides were clearly very experienced and always positioned the vehicle so we all got good sightings, and this of course does make a difference on a holiday such as this. The lodges were very good in all respects. The staff so friendly and helpful, food excellent and accommodation very good.

Summary
A 10-day holiday in Zambia's foremost wildlife reserve, South Luangwa National Park, one of the best places in Africa to see Leopards. We hope to see and photograph Lions as they hunt, sleep and play, large flocks of Southern Carmine Bee-eaters nesting on river banks and pods of lazy Hippo wallowing in the rivers!

Paul McDougall
Tour Leader: Paul McDougall
Paul has enjoyed a life-long interest in wildlife, particularly birds and mammals. Paul grew up in Oxfordshire and spent much of his childhood out in the countryside looking for birds. He travelled to South Africa at the age of 18 when he developed a keen interest in photography, before moving to Kenya where he guided wildlife photography trips for several years. Paul is now a full-time professional photographer and lives in Scotland where he enjoys guiding tours, giving talks and training, and leading wildlife photography workshops. When not leading Naturetrek tours, he can usually be found photographing his local wildlife, or visiting his second home of Kenya to photograph the more exotic species found there! Paul has also travelled extensively across 27 African countries as well as to India, Finland, Nepal and Canada, all in search of specific wildlife species to hopefully capture on camera. Paul is also the author of the best-selling book 'The Ultimate Beginners Guide to Wildlife Photography – from taking a shot to capturing a moment'.
