Summary
East Africa is justifiably renowned for its wildlife, and this tour combines the best of the wildlife from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania in one amazing departure. Between the four countries, they cover lakes, swamps, jungles, forests and grasslands, a huge array of habitats that are home to many species of birds, mammals and other wildlife. We begin in Rwanda where we'll trek for Chimpanzee and Golden Monkey, before crossing into Uganda in search of Mountain Gorilla and Shoebill. Our first wildlife drives in Lake Mburo National Park will prepare us for our time in Kenya, where we visit Lake Nakuru, part of the Great Rift Valley and home to Southern White Rhino, as well as a good selection of birds. From here, we journey to the Maasai Mara, part of the famous East African plains and our visit here will include traditional safari drives in search of antelope, giraffes, zebra, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, African Elephant and many more. Transferring south to the Serengeti, we'll continue our exploration of this ecosystem, looking for mammals, but also birds such as Secretarybird, bustards, lapwings, rollers, bee-eaters and vultures. From here we travel to the fascinating Ngorongoro Crater, where many large mammals can be found. We'll conclude our tour with a final wildlife drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where we can find sunbirds, weavers and potentially the stunning Narina Trogon.
