Georgie Dodds – Tailormade Manager
In Georgie’s role as Tailormade Manager, she oversees all of the day to day running of our ever-expanding Tailormade department. As well as using her extensive travel expertise to hand-curate bespoke itineraries for our guests, Georgie also oversees much of the marketing, product development and operations for our Tailormade team. Above all else though, Georgie’s ultimate responsibility lies in ensuring exemplary service is afforded to each and every guest who chooses to travel on a Naturetrek Tailormade holiday. She loves the opportunity to create personal relationships with each of her guests and really learn what their individual desires are; she claims there is no greater thrill than designing the holiday of a lifetime which is perfectly suited to the individual needs and wishes of her clients!
Having now worked at Naturetrek for over 10 years, Georgie has been lucky enough to travel to multiple corners of the globe including tracking Mountain Gorillas in both Uganda and Rwanda, exploring the Barrier Reefs of both Australia and Belize, Tiger safaris in India and Nepal, African safaris in Kenya and Zambia and cruising through the Galápagos Islands and Baja California.
In life outside of Naturetrek, Georgie has recently got married and is now busy with home improvements at her home in Basingstoke. Although she admits this may be a never-ending task as the pull of travel never keeps her home for long!
Life Before Naturetrek
Georgie has been captivated by wildlife and travel from a young age. As a teenager she was lucky enough to visit a number of wildlife hotspots including South Africa, Sri Lanka and the rainforests of Borneo. She took a gap year to work for a conservation project in Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park, monitoring elephant herd movements. She then spent some time in Australia before returning to the UK to study Zoology at the University of Southampton. After graduating, Georgie headed for South America where she worked for a conservation organisation in Peru’s Manu Biosphere Reserve.
