Being one of the ‘older’ leaders for Naturetrek, it is always a privilege to co-lead tours with some eminent younger leaders and, in July 2015, on a Spitsbergen cruise, one happened to be Sara who I met face to face for the first time. To keep spirits up, and to add a little ‘spice’ to our one outing for exercise per day, our office staff are doing a Lockdown Birdrace each week, during which we have 1 hour to go from our front door, on foot, to see as many species as possible on our own local patch, either alone or with partners, house mates or family.
